The Makeover Edition...

Hello There, Marvelous One!

I hope this post finds you in great spirit, on this beautiful Sunday afternoon!

I'm currently in the process of giving my daughter a room makeover as that's what's on her Christmas List this year.

Funny thing is we just finished painting the walls last night, and yet there are only three days remaining before Christmas day.  Nope, I'm not freaking out anymore, we've got it all under control. The most time consuming part of the makeover was finding the bedding (and other decorative pieces), choosing the paint, and painting the walls.. the rest is easy peasy!

Here are my favorite picks from Land of Nod!

1. Snug as a Bug Quilt

2. Snug as a Bug Sham
3. Well Trained Dog Sham

4. Well Trained Dog Bedding

5. Pom Pom Pillow
6. Doily Floor Bin

7. Gold Foil Confetti Panels...

8. Canvas Closet Organizers

9. Flea Market Storage Basket

10. Gold Rock Finials

11. (Gold) Lottie Dottie Wall Decals

Have you shopped at LON Before?

If so, than I'm sure you'd agree that they have some awesome finds.

Their children's bedding is FULL of whimsical  charm and personality-- they truly have something for everyone.

Meet Comet!

We recently welcomed one of Santa's sweet little crew members into our home. His name is Comet, and he's been on the grind, camping out just about everywhere. Comet is apart of the "Elf On The Shelf" committee. We scooped him up from Target a few weeks back.   His sole purpose is to keep an eye on the kids over the Christmas holiday. He takes daily notes and reports his findings to Santa, you know, to help sort out all of the "Naughty or Nice" business. As you can imagine, everyone's on their absolute best behavior, even the pup!

My favorite part of the "Elf On The Shelf Christmas Tradition", is hearing and seeing my daughter's excitement when she spots Comet in a new location around the house, I mean she gets really animated, I'm talking, jumping, screaming, pointing, running around, the whole shebang!

I figured it would be fun to share a few of Comets hangouts with you guys... Check out what this little guys been up to...

Welp, one thing's for sure... Comet's NOT afraid of heights, lol!

Are you and your family joining in on the "Elf On The Shelf" fun? If so, what's your Elf's name and where has he/she been hanging out?

Holiday Update...

So, it's my most favorite-est time of the year! And yes, I did just extra things up a bit with the addition of the "est", lolz!  Granted, everyday that the lord blesses us to partake of a new day, we MUST REJOICE, and feel the need and desire to give THANKS--I'm all about that. HOWEVER, when it comes to birthday celebrations, I've always felt the need to turn things up a notch (or three). That said, when we speak of celebrating the son of the MOST HIGH, the ONE & ONLY, the ALPHA & OMEGA, I feel an undeniable urge to roll out the red carpet... I feel the need to shake things up a bit. What better way to do it, than sprucing up the holi-cor (holiday decor) with happy, vibrant colors.  Colors that bring about cheer, colors that remind me  that JESUS is alive, living and very much worthy of celebrating.

Here's a peek of what we've done this year...

I thoroughly enjoy when hubs and I are able to round up the kiddos and share in a good ole fashioned cup of mama's Hot Cocoa...

So I whipped up some tasty marshmallows!

NICE INDEED!!!!

Let me tell ya, Jet Puff ain't got nuthin on me (in my Denzel W. "Training Day" voice)

Homemade Marshmallows are quite addictive...

We managed to stumble across these gourmet chocolate bars (at Target).... the marshmallow one was a HUGE hit with the kids and their friends... I recommend you give them a whirl! They are PERFECT for making s'mores

IF there were such-a-thing, as "Christmas In A Cup" this would be it... Just Ah-mazingly delightful

I'd love to see what you've been up to, so leave a comment and share what's happening in your neck of the woods.

Cheers & Blessings!

How adorable! These are a few of the pieces from the Kate Spade & GAP collaboration.

I love the pops of color this collection offers.

I think I know just what my little lady's wearing for our holiday photos! I'm leaning towards cutesy casual attire since we're having an outdoors photo session.

There's just something about being surrounded by nature--the beauty of it all gives me a deeper appreciation for the wonderful world we live in.

Make sure you swing by GAP to check out the other options as there's plenty to choose from.

Kate Spade Office Pretties: Wishlist

Kate Spade Office Pretties: Wishlist

WELL, Well, well... How charming are these little beauties?

Who wouldn't cheer up at the mere site of these lovely little pretties?
The thought of walking into my cubicle and seeing these items on my desk brings about instant cheer!

Kate Spade knows how to make Monday mornings look appealing, wouldn't you agree?
Click here to check out the print for the adorable "Hello Darling" stationary cards!
I. MUST. HAVE. THEM

I love the thought of sending cute little handwritten notes to my family and friends, far and near.
I guess I'm a little old school in this, but I feel handwritten notes are much more personal.
I smile at the thought of opening the mail to a sweet little note from my closest friends.
Didn't mean to get all mushy and such.  :)

I hope to catch some of these items for the low, during the Black Friday sale event!
So, do you have anything on your wish list? If so, do tell!

Playing Catch Up...

             Hi...

ME: Cab'n my way to the Baltimore Stadium

So, last we spoke, I was trying to determine what to wear to the Jay- Z and Beyonce' "On the Run" Tour in Baltimore.  I'm aware that it's been a while (July 2014), and that this is almost last years news, BUT, its all good right? We are friends, correct? So, tell me, what do good friends do? We pick up where we left off, as if we hadn't missed a beat!

Thus, I've rounded up a few pictures from when I attended the show. Unfortunately, I don't have many photos as I managed to break my phone the night before attending the concert. Luckily, my cousin, AKA riding"pot-nah" sent me a few snapshots from her iPhone.

I chose to rock a carefree hipster look. What can I say, I'm a 80's baby for sure! ;)  I figured pops of yellow and black, accompanied by a delicious, RED ruby-woo lip, would be fitting for going to see "Queen Bey" I threw on a pair of overly distressed denim jeans, a beater , a scarf & sunnies from ZARA, midi rings,  lots, and LOTS of arm candy, a pair of COMFY yellow & gold studded Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers, a MK cross body bag, and ... voila!

Of course, I had to take this "Mean Mug" pic to showcase the midi rings and my mirrored, retro sunnies... SOOO friggin' obvious,  RIGHT!

Here's a picture of me and a two of my favorite people, my cousin Aleshia & her hubby Antwan... aren't they show stoppers! :)

Here's another shot of us at the entrance. We were pumped up, and  ready to rock out with the Queen and none other than Mr. HOV himself!

The concert left me speechless. It was simply mesmerizing! I'm sure you've seen and heard all the deets on that, so I'll keep it simple and say it was money well spent!

Thanks for checking in on me!

Tata, for now...
