I've Moved Come See My WordPress Site!!!

It's been roughly about six months since I've posted here on Perfectly Imperfekt Me. You may have thought I was on another hiatus, if you thought about me at all that is. BUT that's not entirely the case.  See, while I was away; I was working on doing some rebranding as I wanted to venture out and try my hand with wordpress. AND...

 So far, so good!

I've had loads of fun with you all over the past almost two, on again, off again, years.  I enjoyed that time very much. I thought about this space and the readers of this site so many times, but I just couldn't bring myself to bid a proper farewell to this space or the once upon a time readers for that matter.

But now I'm here and I'm ready. Ready to share my new space with you all. I promise not to abandon you ladies this time.  I've finally got my poop in a group. Also, though I thought about closing P.I.M. I decided that I'd leave it open for now.

So without further ado...roll on over to my new site, and don't forget to say hi, so I can refollow you from there.

Oscars Academy Award Faves of 2015!

I  look forward to checking out the glamorous happenings of the red carpet during the highly anticipated awards season-ESPECIALLY THE OSCARS! With it being "Fashion Week" and having the Oscars air Sunday, I'm having a bit of a fashion overdose.... I just can't accept my regular-ness. Yes, ladies. I said "regular-ness" lol.  Like seriously, I needed to be out there sashaying across that red carpet with my girls Solange, J. Hud, Lupita & Zendaya. They were absolutely stunning for their red carpet debut.

Solange AKA Solo graced the red carpet in a BOLD beautiful pant suit designed by Christian Siriano. I enjoy watching Solange's style journey because I can always rely on her to do something outside-the-box. She has a distinctive and elegantly delicate style that I absolutely adore.... This hot tamale is a style ICON for sure. I'm feelin' the lippie and the sensual waves in her ever-so-chic bob....  way to WERK the RED, for this event Solange!

You get two snaps hun, cause you did that!

Another one of my faves is Zendaya! What's not to love about this young lady. She's holding it down in this beautiful Vivienne Westwood gown. Though she's known for her role as a Disney actress on shows such as "Shake It Up", and "KC Undercover" (my daughter loves both shows) nothing about Zendaya's style says DISNEY.... it's more like DIAMOND DIVA! This young lady has it going on. I've been a fan of her style for a while and I must say, I really like what I see. I'm loving how BOLD and ethnic she's been as of late.... What y'all think of her dread-like extensions?

She gets two snaps from me, I say she's slayin' in these here streets... WERK BOO, somebody's got to do it!

Jenna Dewan Tatum took no prisoners.... she went for the gusto honey and came back with a WIN! She is certainly amongst the best dressed. I love everything about her ensemble.  The dress, clutch, belt and earrings. What you see here a perfected case of "Minimalist" style and elegance. Her eyes say it all.... she's feeling all sorts of FIERCE on that carpet and rightly so. Jenna SLAYED baby!

When Dakota Johnson, AKA Ms. "Anastasia Steele" isn't putting up a show on the big screen, she's out making scenes and trending on the red carpet. How awkward was that "Mom & Me" Interview.... it's like get over it Melanie, go for it, watch the movie already, lol. BUT in all seriousness, I'm not sure I'd know how to respond to my daughter starring in Fifty Shades either. So yea, she gets a "Mommy Pass" on this one.

Dakota is WERKIN' this Saint Laurent dress baby... she's embracing her moment, and she's doing it well. Shine bright honey, it's your time!

Next up we have the ever-slayin' Lupita Nyong'o! She can do no wrong. This style master-mind knows exactly what it takes to be unforgettable on the Red Carpet. She manages to display her keen sense of style time-after-time. Very well executed. This Custom Calvin Klein number looks NOTHING like the CK I've got in my closet. I told y'all this regular-life ain't right! I need to live that custom lifestyle. Heck, I wanna be like Lupita when I grow up!

Check out that glow... her skin is on  "FLEEK.". She has a naturally radiant glow from her forehead down to her toes... well, not sure about the toes, but you get my drift :)
Gotta look into her skin care regime, cause her face and skin all-in-all is just FLAWLESS.  She's  exquisite!

Look at my boo  J. Hud! She's working that hair. I actually prefer her with the shorter cuts. I see Queen Bey isn't the only one dabbling in emeralds these days. I'm feeling the way she paired the  emerald  accessories with the  yellow dress and her skin is looking like "butta" baby!

MRS. DAVIS!!!!!! Not only do I love  you in your role of Analeese from "How to Get Away With Murder",  I also love seeing you on the red carpet this year. you are giving me all sorts of slay-age right now. From your natural roots to the deep wine colored lippe you're rocking... you look FAB. This gown is fit for a queen and baby  you are wearing it well.

And last but not least, "Jenny from the Block." I mean, what else is there to say other than she's still go it! She looks amazing. I won't mention the fact that she wasn't the only one wearing this dress on the red carpet, but, I must say she wore it best in my opinion.

Who were your faves this year?

National Date Night

National Date Night AKA Valentine's Day was awesome. Hubs and I enjoyed a kid free dinner at Tony Romas. The food was great, and so was the customer service. I really enjoyed getting dolled up for my Mr.

I chose to go the untraditional route.

Found this adorable skater dress at Kohl's for $20.00!

Loved the way the pink and green played off of the cream dress... and so did hubs!

I really love the Betsy Johnson collection... look at how ah-mazing this necklace is... Definitely makes a statement!

The kids know how much I love tulips... They surprised me with this lovely bouquet of flowers, and this glamorous shoe vase... I love my babies. They are so thoughtful (at times, lol) Of course heart day isn't complete without some relaxation right... hence the Dr. Teals!

Breakfast was DELISH... look at those cute little heart shaped  pancakes! The kids really enjoyed them too.

Hubs also delighted me with these beautiful roses. Though the roses are perfect, the note stole my heart. I love that man!

Here's how we ended the weekend....

Fifty Shades of Grey

Movie nights are great, especially when you add Wine and Winter Park to the equation. I was lucky to score complimentary tickets to see Fifty Shades of Grey. It was a good time. I laughed out loud quite a bit, the movie was a great mix of comedy, romance, and well, um.... you know. :)

I decided to air on the side of comfort, as I was partly exhausted due to a long days work.  I pulled off my pumps, and threw on my most comfy Cole Haan flats.... hubs hates these shoes btw, lol.

Oh, yea, and the pant...  Banana Republic, $3.49, Thrift Shop, Windermere. BOOM!

Did you happen to catch Fifty Shades?

Our (9th) Anniversary!

Hello, my name is Maya, and I'm the mastermind behind "Perfectly Imperfekt Me", I enjoy spending quality time with my family, baking, reading, writing,  exploring (the world)  and making all things beautiful. I figured since I've been MIA for the last few weeks, it was necessary to re-introduce myself! :)

Now that we've gotten familiar, lets chat about my as of late...

Hubs and I celebrated our 9th year of happily-ever-after, and ladies let me tell you, it was every bit of lovely! Firstly, I wasn't feeling my best the morning of. My throat was sore and my body was aching. Reuel delighted me with Breakfast 'n Bed & the most perfect cup of jasmine tea, infused with notes of lemon and honey.  After popping two DayQuil gel capsules {because he knows I morph into my six-year-old-self, when cough syrups involved- I simply can't bare the taste} and some much needed rest, I was back on my feet.

We had reservations at HillStone which was just phenomenal . The timing was perfect as we were able to watch the sunset over the beautiful, calm ripples of water that flowed around the plush green garden, as we conversed and sipped wine on the gazebo.

After dinner we went to Regal Cinemas to see Taken III, which was subpar at best. Luckily hubs kept the  movie entertaining with all of his humor.

And.... photo roll!

Blessings, Beauties!

# It Bag 2015!

Today's the day, click and make history! Cast your vote to aid Vogue in choosing the new "It Bag" for 2015. The polls are officially open and the campaigns are oh-so adorable! Be advised as the competition is tough.  I'm not sure which is harder, voting in the presidential election or choosing just ONE of the TEN deliciously appealing handbags featured in the campaign. Glad I've got a few days to decide-we're talking fashion history people! The choice is yours, who will it be? Which designer's gonna count your vote?

My Top Three:

Dior Diorama Bag

Gucci Bucket Bag

Chanel Flap Bag

Valentine's Day Looks

I assembled a few Heart Day Looks for you ladies to use as
wardrobe inspiration.  Many of the pieces you see here can be
mix & matched, for numerous occasions,
 to ensure you're getting
the most bang for your buck.

Though I follow some trends,
my style is more along the way
of traditional & timeless.
I am a bit of a risk taker to some
extent but I'm certainly a firm
believer in the saying "Less is More".

That in mind, the first option features a classic "Fit & Flare" V-neck,
panel cut dress. This is a very traditional Valentine's Day option.
I added a pop of my personality to this look by throwing in these
adorable Nine West leopard pumps-In my opinion, every girl should
own a pair of printed pumps- like many of you, leopard happens to
be my favorite print and adding these pumps to this look really turns
things up a notch!

                    Valentines Day Look

Dress :: Shoes :: Earrings ::Necklace :: Bracelet

The second option offers class with a touch of edge.
Who doesn't love a quality faux leather pant. To give this
outfit a more feminine feel, I suggest pairing them with a
fur coat and floral pumps. Can you believe this Alexander
McQueen pant is currently on sale for $105 bucks...
YAAAS ladies, cray! This look is fun, fab and affordable.

Style Chronicles: "Be Mine" Valentine's Edition

 Coat :: Top :: Pant :: Shoes :: Necklace

The white pant suit featured
 in option three was inspired
 by the beautiful & iconic
 style maven Solange Knowles.
Though this is a classic look,
pant suits are trending
 everywhere right now.
I found this beauty on sale for
$95 bucks, it was originally $300!
I like the combination of red
and white.
It's so chic and totally
embodies the spirit of
Valentines Day.

*This jumpsuit is currently out of stock :(

Monday Style Chronicles: "Be Mine" The Valentine's Edition

Now, I did mention I'm an occasional risk taker
earlier, and this  ensemble does exactly that. It's out of
the norm for Valentines day, but I think
the bold pops of pink and gold
sweeten it up and makes it perfect for a night out.
This look was developed with the
 trendy fashionista in mind.
Style has a language of it's own,
and it changes depending upon the
 individuals taste, confidence,
and level of comfort.
When it comes to style,
I don't mind pushing
the envelop a tad.
I added the thigh high ruffle
socks and the skully to make this look a bit testy
by adding a pinch of that bad girl appeal.

Style Chronicles- Black Out Date w/ Maya D.

Heading out for dinner & a movie with
your sweetheart is a common
Valentine's day tradition.  This final look is for
those of us who prefer to keep things
on the simple side. Ballet flats are always a great choice
for those seeking style and comfort.
The key is to find flats that are just as glitzy
and eye-catching as your favorite heels.
I chose to pair some red & gold Tory Burch flats
with the much coveted Top Shop Skinny jeans...
these jeans offer
both comfort and style.  I layered a sweetheart
 sweater and a delicate
silk top with a beautiful statement
necklace.  BOOM- You're done!

Valentine's Day Movie Date

I'm not sure what hubs and I will be doing, but
I do plan on getting dolled up for the occasion.
