The Sunday Takeover

Today you guys get to  meet my better half's--for all you mathematicians, just go with the flow on this one, Lol.

My daughter has been waiting patiently to "Takeover" my lil blog for a while now, so I figured why not… it's Sunday, and we're doing the family thing--besides, my thinking was- hey, if I focus all of the attention on them, I don't have to put too much effort into what I'm wearing; especially since I was suffering from the "I have nothing to wear syndrome".  So I decided I'd  let the 3 of them (my children) "Takeover". When I initially asked the boys they gave me the side-eye, like--you want us to do what? but then I shot the funny-face back at 'em  like, I just know you're gonna take pics for me, it's not like I'm asking you to jump off of a bridge or anything. So, with them being the loving sons they are, they agreed to join in on the FUN.  Needless to say, today I'll be sharing their Outfits Of The Day (OOTD),  These beautiful photos were taken by  my "All-In-One" husband. I'm telling y'all- God has BLESSED me with a man that can do it all. Well, everything except install hardwood floors- Lol

Say What!!!

Well, with Black History Month approaching, I decided I'd brush up on a lil history; you know, get familiar. I mean,  that's the least I can do right? … So with that thought in mind and me being a  modern day researcher… I took it to Google-- come on now, don't act like you head to the library every time you have a wonder about something,{This is sooo NOT a term paper} lets be real here!

Anyway- I was thinking, {come on everyone make the thinking sound with me, hmmmmm, Lol} I wonder... what year did Madam C. J. Walker invent the hot comb and relaxer *Opens Google browser*

I sat there perched in my seat, with my spine aligned--the best way for me to describe it was a major "Ralphie Moment" the phone was ringing--- people were stopping by my desk to say "Hello"… I was like, give me a break already, I'm trying to get my black history on… it's my lunch break for crying out loud (hence the reason I need to stop eating at my desk)

Finally, the results are in… I click on the link, and this source has been misinformed… they're trying to say that the "Madam" didn't invent the relaxer…Mrs Green {my second grade teacher) would surely get a kick out of this;  on to the next link------> wait, they're saying she didn't invent the hot comb, let me find another "Madam C.J. Walker" page…. SAY WHAT!!!! SHE DIDN'T INVENT THE HOT COMB OR THE RELAXER?!?

She specialized in making hair products such as shampoo with sulfur, pomade, and so forth… but she didn't create the hot comb or relaxer… I was like "wow"YOU'VE.  GOT. TO. BE. KIDDING. ME! Um, Mrs. Green, darling, you've got some explaining to do…. Why didn't you tell me that Garrett A. Morgan invented the relaxer… and to make matters even worse, I asked random people who invented the hot comb and relaxer and almost everyone of them said the same thing "Madam C. J. Walker" and NO we didn't all go to the same school(and I was the only one of them that attended Mrs. Green's class"… Lol


So with that said, I leave you all with this funny…  CAN YOU SAY "Ralphie Moment"

VS Semi Annual Sale Haul….

So after some careful consideration, I decided to go forward with my original plan of doing a Semi-Annual Sale Haul. I was debating on whether or not it would be doing too much, but at the end of the day, I hope everyone has seen panties and bras before, if not, charge this to your health education…  Here's a quick lesson for ya: boys have wee-wees and girls have poo-poo's, girls wear braziers, thongs, and panties (just to name a few)-- and boys wear under-shirts, boxers, briefs,and um, I guess some men wear thongs too *Huge gag, I just threw-up-in-my mouth*. Anyhoo, here's the video--me and my lil ole iMovie software are becoming better acquainted by the day- I think things may be taking off a little faster than I thought. I guess practice does make perfect after all. I was even able to add a few cool features to this video.  

So, tell me---whadoyah think????
